Our program serves children who are 15 months by August 31st of each school year and walking through age 5.
August through May school hours- 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
June through July summer camp hours- 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
Sonshine preschool offers 3-time options-
Preschool Hours (8:45am-12:00pm)
Preschool Extended Day (8:00am-2:45pm)
Full Day (7:30am-5:30pm)
All Sonshine students must attend preschool hours from 8:45am-12:00pm on the days they are enrolled. Promptness is important as classroom learning activities begin at 8:45am. Those attending Preschool Hours only may drop off as early as 8:30am without any additional fees.
Extended hours are available before and after the preschool classroom hours to help meet the needs and preferences of Sonshine families.
Additional hours are available upon request for Preschool and Preschool Extended Days and charged at the rate of $10.00 per hour in ½ hour increments.
Sonshine Preschool follows the Tucson Unified School District calendar in regard to seasonal breaks including, one week in October for Fall break, two weeks in December/January for Winter break, and one week in March for Spring break. In addition to those breaks, we close for various holidays throughout the school year.
Please email to inquire about openings in specific classrooms. Enrollment for the following school year and summer program begins in February and classes fill quickly.
Tuition is a school year amount that has been divided into 10 equal monthly payments due the first of each month. A late fee is assessed if the payment is received after the 5th of the month. Tuition and registration fees are nonrefundable.

Before scheduling a tour, please look at our school year calendar. Please note that we are first and foremost a preschool, not a daycare. We have several closures throughout the school year as well as shortened hours during our seven-week summer program.
